    IRS-Approved Custodians

By law, all Individual Retirement Accounts must be held by an IRS-approved custodian. However, not all custodians are created equal. Traditional brokerages typically refuse to hold alternative assets or private LLC shares because they cannot easily value or sell them.

    The Role of the Custodian

In an IRA LLC structure, the custodian's role is passive. They hold the membership units of your LLC and handle IRS reporting (Forms 1099-R and 5498). Because they do not process the individual investments made by the LLC, their fees should be minimal.

We guide you in selecting the most economical, efficient, and reliable passive custodians in the industry. We handle the paperwork to establish your account, transfer your existing retirement funds, and direct the custodian to fund your new LLC.
